I had a slow day at the office. The client still can't wrestle the information we need out of their fax service vendor, so I'm still unable to complete the project and invoice them. I'm working on another project, but it isn't very demanding.
I didn't have anything planned for the evening, so I called EM (I wrote about his birthday this past weekend) to inquire if he would be free for dinner. He accepted my invitation, so I met him outside his office near GWU and we bussed back to his home, where I napped for a few minutes while he took his dog to the dog park.
I tried calling DM, a friend of a friend (and, coincidentally, a high school buddy of EM), who lives across the courtyard from EM, to see if we could visit for a bit, but he was working, so I just napped while EM was out.
We had dinner at the Cowboy Bar, a comfortable little restaurant near his home. We both had the fajitas, which were passable. After dinner, we attended the weekly club night of DC Lambda Squares, DC's gay and lesbian square dance club. Attendance was light, probably because of the proximity to the annual International Association of Gay Square Dance Clubs (
IAGSDC) convention in Phoenix, AZ, but also because some people don't like the dance space, although I thought it was fine. However, they are moving to new digs near DuPont Circle, so maybe that will satisfy everybody.
Now I'm on the train home after dancing my little feet off and flirting with some of my dancing buddies, including a man I just met tonight who shares my name -- and he's a red head! :-9 He doesn't seem interested in me right now, though. Whatever, he's still fun to dance with, and they all want me in my dreams!
Speaking of dreams, I'm sharing the train with six men who look Brazilian, although they could be from anywhere; I don't recognize their language. They're all very beautiful, and I'll have material for my dreams tonight! :)
