Yesterday evening when I arrived home, Edwina and Lucy seemed very happy to see me. Lucy was bouncing around and Edwina even sat in my lap. todc is stored in the freezer, I'm not such a bad guy, really.
I took care of their needs, letting Lucy outside and providing them with food and water, then I retired to the bedroom for a while to take care of my needs. Then I finally got around to using Tod's big television by watching Eddie Izzard's "Circle" DVD, which was pretty funny.
An old high school buddy, CA, is on his way up to Pennsylvania for a gaming conference and he crashed with me for the evening. We went out to dinner at a japanese restaurant nearby and just generally got caught up. Then we came back to the house where I demonstrated the magic of the TiVo while we watched "The Grid" on TNT.
CA was one of my two best friends from high school, and we're still good friends, despite long lapses in communication. He knew I was gay before I came out to him, having spotted me in front of the gay rags at a local news stand. He and DH were always complete cool with my proclivities. CA's in his BDSM subculture, so he's not inclined to throw stones anyway.
He dropped me off at the Twinbrook Metro this morning and headed off to Harper's Ferry for the day before going on up to PA. I hope he'll have time to swing by Baltimore on the way back so we can visit again.
I made a call to DM and made arrangements to meet with his friends in Glenmont Wednesday evening and to stay with him over night. I've also got plans to see EGN Friday evening. :-)
