Lucy was ecstatic to see [livejournal.com profile] todc home again. DM had met me at Tod's house, so when call Tod called from the Metro, we drove up to bring him home so he didn't have to lug his bags through the streets. Good thing too -- he could have folded a body in that bag of his! What ever happened to steamer trunks?

DM and left to meet his friends Mike and Robert near the Forest Glen metro station. They're looking for someone to house sit and take care of their two dogs and their cat while they're traveling for two weeks at the end of August.

I got a tour of the house and met the monsters, Snoopy and Beauregard and the cat, Iago. Mike made pizza while we three had a dip in the hot tub. DM pushed birthday cake into my nose and then licked it out, which definitely tested my boundaries! :-)

It was a pleasant evening, and we all enjoyed ourselves. Mike and Rob asked me how much I would charge to sit for them, and I didn't have an answer prepared -- I was sitting for Tod just as a favor. They're going to research the going rates and get back to me.

DM and I left for his house, where he did some packing for his eighteen-day vacation in California. Among other things, he'll be spending a week at a Body Electric retreat, which sounds nice.

DM is into some kink, BDSM and whatnot, but, like EGN (who I'm seeing on Friday), he's not threatening. Both men are great lovers; I feel a little clumsy when I'm with either of them, to be honest. DM even mentioned that he has some e-stim toys, but he didn't whip anything out.

We woke up this morning and touched each other some more, then he got up to shower and go on his way, dragging his bags out to the car. He's packing clothes, three pairs of boots, his dresses and assorted accessories, his leather gear, etc., etc. You see the way queens pack for a weekend? He's going to be gone for EIGHTEEN DAYS. ;-)

[livejournal.com profile] jholiiday posted an entry about an article in the Washington Times about alleged airline security probes by possible terrorists.

I've done some googling and found the original account by Annie Jacobsen, published at Women's Wall Street, as well as a follow-up article.

There are articles at the New York times (free subscription required) and Salon.com (watch an ad to see the full article). The Salon.com article also links to other reactions about the incident.

All I can say is that, having no direct experience of the incident or access to any official reports, I can't tell if this is a hoax or exaggeration, but I hope someone in authority is paying attention.
