On Friday night, Russell and I had our regular Star Trek evening. I made a simple pizza and we watched the current episode, then we watched the previous week's episode on tape that he had missed.
Saturday, I laid about, then headed into DC to see the Incredibles at the new Regal Cinemas in Chinatown. My train left Baltimore about thirty minutes late, so I arrived in Union Station at 2 pm, which is when the movie was scheduled to start. I managed to get off the train, catch the metro to Chinatown, exit the station and find the theatre, buy my ticket and ride all those escalators and take my seat in only ten minutes. The last trailer was just ending and I got to see the short feature and then the Incredibles, which I enjoyed a great deal. I'm going to see if I can watch it again with Russell on Wednesday.
After the movie, I headed out to
todc's house, where he and
heterodoxy hosted a nice pancake dinner. Tod made blueberry, chocolate chip and banana pancakes, and we watched a Charlie Brown Christmas (too soon! Too soon for Christmas!), Clue and the Rocky Horror Picture Show. I had a fabulous time.
Today I was planning on going to bowling and doing laundry afterwards, but my friend Ed M. called to see if I wanted to take in a movie in the afternoon, so I cancelled bowling and did laundry instead. Ed and I watched Ray, which was absolutely excellent. I really recommend it.
Afterwards, we grabbed pizza and headed back to my apartment to visit for a little before he had to return home. We had picked up this Pepsi product that combined Pepsi with "holiday spices" -- the result is not something I want to drink again.
I've been sitting down, returning email messages from my many gentleman admirers. I've had overtures from three men in the past week, which is very nice. :-)
