Steven S. asked me a few days ago if anybody appearing in my journal had been disconcerted by reading about himself in my writings. I replied that nobody had made any concerns known to me.
Still, I've started feeling a little self-conscious about my writing and glossing over things. I'm becoming aware that my readership is growing beyond my control and that increases the chances that someone is going to get their panties in a twist at some point.
When I started writing, the only people that were reading were the men who had journals of their own, and the atmosphere was very friendly. There's no LiveJournal etiquette guide that I could find anywhere, so I tried to figure out the boundaries on my own. The LiveJournal circle has their own expectations. I'm not sure about the wider community.
I guess I'll just plunge on. If anybody gets upset with me, I'm sure they'll let me know. I can always edit or delete my entries if I cross the line.
