Over lunch today, my boss and I worked out that I earned about $21,100 last year between my previous job and my time with him. I was surprised -- I didn't think I'd break $20K.
I'm still enjoying my life. In fact, I'm having a great time. The only thing that I really regret is that I can't afford to go to the annual square dance conventions anymore. I'm not missing anything else.
This morning I had the pleasure of riding the train with one of my bowling buddies, David D. We had a pleasant chat about all sorts of things. I really get kind of a high off of my friends. I really enjoy just spending time with them. I had a grin on my face all the way to the CYBERStop. :-)
When I left my Baltimore job in 2003, I was making nearly $50K. With my current expenses, I could be socking away many thousands of dollars each year. I'll have to try to keep the expenses under control as my income recovers.
