Quick Update

Amazingly, my burn has now completely healed in less than a week. I wish I had pictures of it at it's worst, which peaked around Tuesday. So it went from that to fully healed in just a few days, really.

The new skin is still a little pink, and there's the ragged border around the area because all the dead skin has peeled away, but the healing is essentially done. Some weird behavior between the rash and the burn, I guess. Maybe the skin wasn't burned too deeply? Whatever. I was expecting this to take much longer.

I've started looking for jobs, and I've found a few that interest me:

• Programmer/Analyst at JHU
• User System Specialist at JHU
• Junior Web Developer, downtown Baltimore

I've got stuff planned for this weekend, but I'm going to be heading back home Sunday morning to quickly polish my resume and prepare job applications.

Camping memory

I'm pretty sure I mentioned that the nights got cold in the mountains of Pennsylvania.

At some point, a few of us were sitting around talking about how cold it was, when Greg M. confessed that rather than get up out of his tent in the middle of the night to take a leak, he grabbed a plastic trash bag, peed in that, then tied it up.

Then he realized that he could clutch the bag to himself to enjoy its fading warmth. The group thought this was pretty clever; in fact, it could even be a marketable product. A combination pee duck/water bottle.

I suggested that he could market it as "Urine Heat." :-)
