sigh.

I just read the notice that Cameron Robb — handlebear — passed away yesterday, due to a brain tumor.

Cameron was one of my convention buddies — men and women that I only get to see once a year at the square dance convention. I might see them at some other event around the country, but convention was where we always touched base. These friendships exist in a kind of bubble, untethered to the rest of my life.

I haven't been able to attend the last three conventions because of the expense. I haven't seen Cameron or Scott in over three years. I was so pleased to find his livejournal so I could keep up with his news.

I called Russell, Kirk, Ett and Abe with the news. I also emailed Cameron A., the East Coast Cameron.

Cameron was a sweet, sweet man. He's already missed.
