No place like
Nov. 16th, 2005 12:12 amI'm home. Home! ...and I'm exhausted.
I wasn't planning on walking through my door for another eight hours or so. The plan was for me to help Doug M. set up Christmas stuff at the Spy Museum, sleep over at his place and catch an early train home so I could be at my desk by 9 a.m.
However, due to a series of snafus, all we had to work with was a trio of merchandise stands and a huge wreath festooned with Christmas lights. The freight elevator at the storage facility was out of order, so the two eight-foot Christmas trees didn't make it.
This meant that we spent a lot less time than we were intending to and managed to get out of there in time for Doug to drop me off at Union Station so I could catch the last train of the day back to Baltimore.
So, I'll spend Wednesday and Thursday in Baltimore. Thursday evening I'm heading back into DC to house sit for Christian and John while they go away this weekend.
I am so very glad to be home, but I'm going to bed now.
