I spent all of today in class, learning about mail processing, which is our company's business. There was one other student, Jeremy, who started about a week after me. Our trainer, Trish, was very engaging, and I got a lot of context from the material, context that I have been looking for.

Now I'll be able to answer intelligently when someone asks what I do for a living!

Tomorrow I'll be starting another class that covers the operation of one of our major products.

I got a new cell phone last week and switched my provider to Verizon. My only reason for dropping Sprint was that I got abysmal coverage in my own apartment. I'd have to stand by the window in the kitchen to get the best connection and I got dropped calls even then. I had been a Sprint customer for at least five years.

So I just finished transcribing almost all of the numbers in my Sprint phone contact list into my computer. There were a few that I couldn't even remember who they were, much less why I had their numbers. If I couldn't remember who they were, then I didn't bother copying the number.

Now I'll sync my iPod with my computer and start carrying it around so I have my contact list with me as I slowly add numbers into the new phone.
