I got an email from Bob S. this morning. It seems that he made plans to go on an eight-night Caribbean cruise with a friend of his, but now Bob isn't going and he's offering me his spot for $200 and the promise of helping transition his boyfriend, Jim, the man I house-sit for, to a new MacBook Pro from his Windows computer. After determining that a passport isn't required, I accepted. So now I'm going on a Caribbean cruise the week after Thanksgiving, leaving from Fort Lauderdale. I just need to make arrangements to fly myself down to Florida to board the ship on time.
If anyone out there in LJ-land has advice for a cruise newbie, please share!
