(no subject)

i'm on a train traveling from Philadelphia to Washington, DC. i was in the Phillie area last night to join my friends for another game night and to help Jan celebrate his birthday.

We played several games, including a great six-player game of Seafarers of Cataan. It's been a long time since we've played that game, and i consider it to be the best Cataan game that i've played. We also played Seven Wonders a couple of times, which is always popular. In fact, for a while we had two simultaneous games at different tables. We wrapped things up with a Lord of the Rings game and a round of Star Fluxx.

i love traveling by train, especially when traveling with my iPad. i can lean back in my seat and listen to music or read a book while the countryside flashes by. The sun is bright and the trees are beginning to show their fall colors. It feels so civilized.

Once i reach DC, i'll head over to the DC Eagle to hang out for the tail end of Metro Leather Pride. We have a few hours of puppy play and then a monthly BBQ. Then i'll go home to Master for the night. Tomorrow, i'll go to Baltimore after work and stay there for a few days or so.
