This is my third week at my new job and my boss and co-worker are always praising my work. I'm having a blast. I haven't had to work my programming muscles like this since high school. I'm the sole developer on a web application and I've been writing in PHP for exactly as long as I've been working here. Tomorrow, the boss and I meet with the client to show him my work.

Came home tonight and went up to the home of my friend Michael. My ex is renting a room from Michael until he can get his house in order. I brought up some laundry and the three of us went to a Korean restaurant while the clothes dried. I've never eaten at a Korean place before, so I simply selected the first thing that seemed edible and closed my menu. I don't have enough data to actually make an informed choice, so what the hell! ;-)

After ordering, we were served about seven small portions of different things. There was some pickled radish, fish cake, some sort of greens, kimchi, some marinated mushrooms and some other stuff. I stayed away from the red stuff -- that can be very spicy and I wasn't in the mood.

I had ordered Bi Bim Bob, which had some greens, marinated sprouts, some sort of radish (I think), pork, and topped with a fried egg. I was disappointed that it was served cold, because I was looking forward to a hot meal. Michael ordered a noodle dish that had buckwheat noodles, korean pears, something like a japanese radish, some sliced meat and an egg. His dish was served ice cold, but the flavors were very interesting.

My ex had the best dish, which was a huge scallion pancake with seafood in it. His was the only dish that was hot. They also served us something like a steamed omelet, with green peppers and onions. It was steaming hot throughout the entire meal and was quite tasty.

After the meal, we walked back to the house, where we ate mango ice cream. Then I folded my clothes and caught a lift back to my apartment from Michael. All in all, a nice evening.
