Coyotes Take to City Living

Here's an article from the Washington Post that describes coyote attacks in the DC area and warns that they "seem to be losing their fear of humans."

One guy was attacked about eighteen months agao by a rabid coyote while he was mowing his lawn. He managed to get his shotgun and shoot it.

Weekend plans

My friend handlebear is off to Phoenix for the 21st annual convention of the International Association of Gay Square Dance Clubs, and he's posted a journal entry from the convention! I hope he keeps it up so I can live vicariously through him; if you're interested in what a convention of about a thousand homosexual square dancers is like, you can check his journal out. If I find out about any other LJ users who are in attendance, I'll mention them.

Well, my weekend seems to be planned out for me -- movie tonight with LK, tomorrow night EGN is getting auctioned for charity at the Spike in Baltimore, party with friends in DC Sunday, and a lunch date with claddah76 on Monday. If time allows, I may go out with EGN Monday night.

I even had another offer of dinner for tonight from DM, the guy that I called while EM was walking his dog. Since I already had plans, he and I will be hooking up while he's in Baltimore next week for ArtScape.

The MARC management cancelled the 5:37 train this evening, and instead of just letting those people take the 6:05 train instead, they delayed my train that was schedule to leave at 5:25 and changed it from an express to a local, so I got home nearly an hour late tonight. Grr.
