I'm sick, and I've felt under the weather for a day or so, so I haven't been posting entries and I haven't been replying to emails. I checked my temp about thirty minutes ago and it stood at 100.6. I've got some difficulty swallowing, aches in my joints and today I had a faint rash on my belly and arms that faded in and out. I have the lights turned down now -- the light hurts my eyes -- so I can't tell if I still have the rash or not.

Russell's gone to get some aspirin to help bring down my fever and he's already procured a bottle of some vitamin-C drink. I'll be having soup for supper and drink my fluids.

Fever is down to 99.9.

Fever has climbed again to 100.1, which is weird. I'm using a digital thermometer which beeps when it is finished. Going from 100.6 to 99.9 and back to 101.1 is pretty weird.

I think I'm going to kick Russell out and go to bed. That's my typical strategy when I'm ill -- just check out and let the bug have its way with me. I'll be back when it's finished.

Unfortunately, DM is spending the night with me tomorrow. He's doing something in Baltimore and he's gonna lay over with me, then we're heading back to Rockville Sunday morning so I can check on [livejournal.com profile] todc's animals.

I was hoping to do some cleaning tomorrow in preparation for his visit, but now I don't know.

I'm feeling better, though, despite what my temperature is doing.

Bah.

I just called DM to cancel his stay tomorrow night. I think I'm going to focus on getting a train to DC so I can crash at [livejournal.com profile] todc's house. I was looking forward to showing him my apartment, but I don't want to have him setting plans by me when I'm ill.
