Current temp: 100.1.

I just woke up. DM called to check on me.

I had weird dreams last night, but the only thing that I can remember is that they all seemed to end the same way: I'm standing in [livejournal.com profile] todc's house, looking out the picture window in his living room. There's a desert outside as far as my eye can see, and a city skyline on the horizon. As I watch, the city vanishes in a nuclear explosion.

That image woke me several times. Very annoying.

Despite the temperature reading, my head doesn't feel that feverish. I was bundled up in my comforter while I slept, so I'm expecting my temperature to drop in the next few minutes now that I'm up. My throat hurts a bit more, not just when I swallow. Drinking something should soothe that.

DM called about thirty minutes ago and I gave him directions to my apartment. He'll be stopping by to collect me and then conveying me to Rockville, where I'll be house sitting for [livejournal.com profile] todc and taking care of Lucy and Edwina, his dog and cat.

I've packed a bag full of dirty clothes, since I didn't have the energy to leave the apartment today and I need clean things for the next week.

I still feel a little out of it. I'm not doing as badly as I was last night, so I'm doing without any aspirin or other non-HIV medication. I'm still drinking my fluids, however. I'll be taking my bottle with me to Tod's house.

This is the first time I've been sick in a year, which is a pretty amazing thing to me. What's more, this is relatively mild. No diarrhea, no vomiting, nothing truly nasty. The worst part has been the fever. Things truly could be worse.
