It took me about an hour to wend my way through the lines to cast my vote, much longer than any election I've participated in at that polling location. The Baltimore Sun is predicting an 80% voter turnout today, which is encouraging.

kenny73 had sent me a check as a gift, which was drawn on his bank in Canada. I deposited the check, but once my bank realized it was a foreign check, the amount was debited from my account. I called Customer Service and I was told that verification could take up to six weeks, although my guess is that's an unlikely occurrence.
I do still have cash in my pocket, but I'll have to see if my boss has received any money from our clients that he can pass on to me. Also in the good news column: all of my transactions to pay bills have cleared. Nothing is bouncing, so no returned check fees.
