Just got back from my check-up and my viral load is now undetectable! What a nice birthday present! In addition, there's continued improvement in my T-cell counts: the absolute count went up to 259 from 250 three months ago, but the percentage count went up two points, so the doctor thinks the absolute is a little low.

He also told me that I can stop taking the diflucan -- the anti-fungal medication -- so now I'll just be taking my anti-virals. The rest of my blood tests didn't show anything unusual; everything seems hunky-dory!

(I'll just note here that the Macintosh system spelling checker actually recognizes "hunky-dory" -- cool!)

Finally, I got a lead on a clinic that will be offering flu shots tomorrow morning!

Thursday evening I met David E. in Falls Church. David was one of the participants in the Body Electric weekend I attended in May. We had planned to meet in DC so I wouldn't need to stray too far from Union Station, but the weather and traffic downtown was so bad, that I met him out in Virginia.

We stopped off at his home so we could catch our breath before deciding what we were doing for dinner. We sat down in his living room, his coffee table between us, but I quickly got up to sit next to him on the couch, where we snuggled a little as we got caught up. I eventually put my head in his lap while we talked some more.

We decided that we didn't really want to go outside again, so David threw together a very nice dinner. He had some chicken sausage from Trader Joe's that was made with Fontina cheese, spinach and roasted garlic. We also had some pasta and a salad. It was all very yummy!

After dinner, we resumed snuggling and stripped off our clothes for some naked snuggling and smooching. We actually tarried a bit late for me to comfortably make it back into town before my train left, so David thoughtfully drove me into DC to make sure I made it home okay.

I had a wonderful time just talking and touching. I had a grin on my face all the way home. :-)

The weekly Star Trek: Enterprise episodes are broadcast Friday evenings, and I have a standing date with Russell for him to come over and watch it with me over dinner. I didn't feel like cooking this week, so we visited the local carry-out, Never On Sunday and brought dinner back to my apartment.

Enterprise was showing a rerun, so we opted to watch Galaxy Quest instead, one of the DVDs that [livejournal.com profile] heterodoxy gave me. We enjoyed it immensely.

After Russell left, I stayed up until three a.m., which led to me taking a four hour nap Saturday afternoon. After thirty-seven years (almost!), I should have learned by now that long afternoon naps don't do me any good at all, nor should I stay up as late as three a.m. My sleep schedule is still messed up.
