Baltimore Game Day
Jan. 30th, 2005 11:41 amLouie B. hosted a game party for the Baltimore Adventurers last night and a good time was had by all. I estimate about twenty people showed up and many of them, like us, weren't in the Adventurers group. I was a little disappointed that the festivities were scheduled to start at 7 p.m.; I'm used to the DC game days that start at 1:00 or 2:00 p.m.! Still, we had a great time.
Louis asked everybody to bring a dish, so I prepared part of one of the few things I can cook: Sicilian Skillet Chicken. This is a recipe that I got from the back of box of bread crumbs, and it tastes pretty good. I cooked just the chicken, deciding that the sauce was too much trouble. I got a few compliments from folks for the chicken. :-)
We played all kinds of games, but I was most fascinated by an African game called Mancala. Louie taught the game to John T., Michael N. and me just as the party was winding down, so we didn't get as much time with it as I would have liked. I think I could have played it all night!
One of the other highlights of the evening was joining the group playing Pictionary in the other room. There weren't any more seats available, so I squeezed in behind Louie on his chair. I played official timekeeper, but I mainly amused myself by fondling his belly and chest. Every once in a while he'd wiggle a little, grinding his butt into my crotch.
One thing that I should have done yesterday that I didn't was to refill my prescriptions. Now I won't have pills for tomorrow and I'll have to refill before I go into work, so I'll be late. Given the snow, I'm wondering if my boss would prefer that we work from home anyway.
