I had a good time last night, watching Dr. Who and Battlestar Galactica with the sci-fi group. Jeff emailed me to say that happy hour was "hot, stuffy, too crowded, and too noisy to talk" and that I made the right choice. There will be another tv night next Friday, but no Dr. Who episodes. I might go to Happy Hour for a bit then wander over to watch BSG afterwards.
I've started reading The Da Vinci Code, two years after everybody else on the planet. I'm enjoying it. We discussed it briefly at the sci-fi group last night. Christa told me that I'll enjoy the first Dan Brown book I read, but if I read more of his stuff, I'll realize that his writing is formulaic and I'll start saying to myself, "okay, these characters will fall in love, this one is going to die, etc."
I'm going ice skating today with Jeff M.,
bjarvis and Kent F. I've never ice skated. I'm crossing my fingers.
I wonder if dogs and cats ever wish for opposable thumbs.
