It's gonna be a good day!
Mar. 10th, 2006 08:58 amI made a double pot of chili last night. I froze most of it, but packed some for lunch today. However, I forgot to pack a baggie of saltine crackers, and I love saltines in my chili. It's almost not worth it without them. Sadness.
So I'm standing in the lunch room a moment ago, talking with Tammy about my trip to New York and her family's recent trip there in December, when Janice opens one of the cabinets to get something and I spy a box of saltines on the top shelf! Gladness!
It would be nice if the universe would decide to toss a winning lottery ticket my way sometime, but I'll settle for the occasional umbrella or box of saltines. :-)
Update: I described this to my office mate and he reached into his "condiment drawer" and pulled out six individually wrapped packages of saltines and threw them on my desk. I'm all set! :-)
