About last night
Mar. 21st, 2007 10:15 amI had Russell over for dinner last night. I try to set up some time for us to stay connected, especially since he's been so down lately. When I'm staying in Baltimore, we usually ride the train to work together in the mornings, but the occasional dinner or movie is good, too. I also wanted to show off my clean apartment. I made sure he got a gander at the kitchen and the closet. :-)
I served up another pizza, which turned out well, and I even made myself wash the dishes afterward. We actually didn't talk all that much, not really; Russell's not much for conversation these days. He's kind of mopey.
Dancing was fun, but the Waxter Center was too hot, which is its usual state during the winter months. The Waxter is a senior center, and the old folks need to keep warm.
I didn't get enough sleep Monday night after the dance class, and the heat was putting me to sleep, so I skipped out early. I managed to stay awake long enough to talk with Dakota on the phone and trundle my computer desk out to Barry's minivan. He and Russell stopped by after dancing to pick it up, which is another thing off of my decluttering todo list.
Then I got a rude awakening at 1 a.m. from my insomniac boyfriend who had assumed that my cell phone would be turned off. He would have been right, if I hadn't turned it back on so that Russell could let me know when they were coming over for the desk. :-\
