About a week ago, on August 14, I broke up with Dakota. So I've been trying to re-establish an independent social life.
Last night, I went to the weekly Gay Bingo game hosted at the Hippo. The fee for the cards was $15 the last time I went; now it's $20. Cokes were $2.75 each. I also bought cards for some of the extra games and a couple of pieces of pizza. I ended up spending $48, but won $25, so I'm only out $23, which was totally worth it. I'll have to watch the spending next time. Winning that $25 was the only thing that made it seem like I didn't spend too much money, and I can't count on that.
At one point, I doodled a couple of cartoons of Mister Piggy on the schedule of games that they hand out. A guy that briefly stood next to my seat at the bar spotted the cartoons and asked me if I was a pig, which was a little unexpected. I managed to answer, "not typically," which sounds a little lame, and he went away. He was distracting me from the Bingo.
I gave the doodles to Russell today. Maybe he'll add them to the site. He was bemused by some of the games, like "glory hole" and "top or bottom." :-)
