discord35 | Fun fun fun!

It's been a great day. My father cooperated in another one of my kitchen projects -- white chocolate chip cookies. I don't often enjoy nuts, and it seems nearly impossible to find a white chocolate chip cookie that doesn't also include macadamia nuts, so we assembled all the ingredients and I baked some cookies!

I also pulled out my mom's professional digital camera and manage to puzzle out how to take a few photos around the house. I've been having a great day. :-)

As I'm writing this, it occurs to me that I never wrote about my kitchen date with Kirk. Well, the roast chicken turned out wonderfully and we had a great meal while watching the movie Maurice. I had extra chicken left over, which became chicken salad and the bones of the bird went into the freezer for soup someday.

It turns out that my father (pictured here) baked a pumpkin pie and a cheesecake. We'll probably sample the pie later on tonight while playing cards or Scrabble or something.

My father suggested that we might go hiking on Sunday, which would be nice. Maybe I could pry one of the cameras away from my parents and take some more photos.

As an aside, I noticed a commercial on television for a diabetes testing unit and I wondered if we might ever see television advertisements for HIV-related goods and services. Hm.
