Back home

Had a great time with todc, heterodoxy, gregmce, cjliotta, Don and Kevin at Tod's house for pizza and movies. We saw a little of Office Space, then watched The Butterfly Effect and Bring It On. Some appreciation of Olympian men and an episode of Reno 911 rounded out the evening.

I'm back in Baltimore now and going to go to bed. Good night!

Art Attack

I've been going through some of these boxes that are still stacked up in my apartment since my move in May. I came across some of my old sketch books, and I thought I'd throw a scan of one my drawings up on the web. Some of you may get a kick out of it. (Not safe for work!)

I used to draw a great deal back in high school, but didn't pursue it after I graduated, although my parents and my instructors all told me I had great potential. I wonder what my life would be like if I had followed those opportunities. I dabbled in sketching, painting, and I once sculpted a wizard out of the wax from a block of cheese that lived in our family's refrigerator for years, lest he melt. :-)

I'm more aware of the possibilities a career in art could have led me to. Imagine being a part of the team that put the Lord of the Rings on the movie screen!
